The Mosaic Institute is proud to announce Daryna Kutsyna as the inaugural recipient of the James P. Muldoon Jr. Bursary Award, presented at the 2017 Peace Patron Dinner. Daryna is an ambitious student involved in law, domestic politics and advocacy. She recently completed her Honours B.A. at the University of Toronto in international relations and history, and will begin her J.D. at the University Of Toronto Faculty of Law in September. Daryna is passionate about gender equity in politics, and is involved with Equal Voice, an organization dedicated to electing more women at all levels of Canadian politics. She is also a published writer and active in research, having worked with three publications on campus and as a research director for the G20 Research Group at UofT.
The James P. Muldoon Jr. Bursary was established in memory of the former Vice Chair of the Mosaic Institute’s Board of Directors. James’ wife, Reeta Roy, is President of Mastercard Foundation and an Advisory Council Member of the Institute. “Jim” and Reeta have dedicated this bursary to making the world a more harmonious and just place for all.
This year’s inaugural bursary awarded $2,500 to Daryna, whose personal and academic achievements demonstrate the key values of the Mosaic Institute’s mission and Jim and Reeta’s vision.
