Our 2018 – 2019 UofMosaic Fellows have just culminated this year’s social action campaign, Don’t Pass It Down: Dismantling Intergenerational Prejudices. Across the country, art exhibits were organized on university campuses in Toronto, Mississauga, Montreal and Vancouver. Students and community members were asked to reflect and put up their intergenerational prejudices on Matryoshka doll outlines to showcase prejudices that they didn’t want to pass down to future generations. The subsequent roundtable discussions brought together people from various backgrounds to learn from each other, talk about ways of dismantling the cycle of intergenerational prejudice, and what values they would pass down in the future. Thank you to all those who were able to join us in various cities–it’s been a huge and inspiring success! If you missed our events, here is a sneak peak into the campaign!
