The Mosaic Institute will be holding its first-ever Peace Patron Dinner on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, featuring a special tribute to our 2015 Honorary Peace Patron The Hon. Louise Arbour.
Since 2007, the Mosaic Institute has been harnessing the diversity of Canada’s people to advance peace at home and around the world. Using original research and specialized programming in high schools, universities and the broader community, Mosaic brings together young Canadians with personal or historic ties to international conflicts to build trust, promote social cohesion and engage in courageous acts of global citizenship. On May 12, we look forward to celebrating the achievements of the young people associated with the Mosaic Institute – the next generation of “Louise Arbours” – who are working to build a stronger Canada and a more peaceful world.
The Honorary Co-Chairs of the Peace Patron Dinner are President Sheldon Levy of Ryerson University and President Mamdouh Shoukri of York University. The Hon. Hugh Segal, a previous Peace Patron honoree of the Mosaic Institute, will be on hand to help us pay tribute to Madame Arbour. Our evening’s host will be Anne-Marie Mediwake of CBC News.
Tickets will go on sale early in 2015. In the meantime, for information about how you can support the Peace Patron Dinner, please contact Wendy Sung-Aad, Director of Development, at +1 (416) 644-6000 (Ext 610) or firstname.lastname@example.org.
