It combines research, education, and comparative analysis to explore the causes and consequences of conflict and to promote conflict-resolution strategies. INCORE’s Conflict Data Service is a comprehensive database on conflicts and conflict-related issues.

The Institute for Historical Justice and Reconciliation, based in The Netherlands, works with educational and public policy institutions to promote and facilitate discourses to resolve and acknowledge historical disputes. Areas of focus include Armenia-Turkey, the Middle East, the Former Yugoslavia, and Kenya
The Karuna Centre
The Karuna Centre, an American peacebuilding institute, adopts a community-based approach to conflict resolution. It seeks to implement sustainable strategies for conflict transformation and community reconciliation. In previous work in Nepal and Sri Lanka, the Centre has combined attempts to build local capacities with conflict transformation processes using mediated and structured dialogue.
The Transitional Justice Institute
The Transitional Justice Institute at the University of Ulster is an academic think-tank that examines the ways international legal norms shape conflict-resolution. Much of the past work of the TJI has focused on the civil war in Ireland. The Institute has recently begun offering innovative programs that examine the role of gender in conflict and peacebuilding

Sustained Dialogue Campus Network provides some resources for students wishing to undertake peacebuilding on campus. Particularly useful is “Diving In: A Handbook for Improving Race Relations on College Campuses through the Process of Sustained Dialogue”.
The United States Institute of Peace and the UN Mediation Support Unit have created the Peacemaker’s Toolkit, a collection of manuals focusing on a range of peacebuilding issues.
